MvM Mission Statement:
Monsters VS. Monsters was designed with one goal in mind, to be a low-cost fun and engaging game for children ages 5-18.

MvM Story Line:
"In the middle of the 21^st century, a world-wide television company decided to use its newly purchased genetic engineering division to design a new breed of combatants for an Arena based Reality TV show. The scientists chose 10 creatures of legend from around the world, and created these monsters for the show. A Bigfoot, the Wolfman, the Yeti, the Chupacabra, Loch Ness, the Mummy, a Skeleton, a Zombie, Frankenstein, and a Vampire were genetically designed in a lab. Once these monsters were born, they were trained in the habitat from the tales to become the perfect fighting machine. Monsters VS. Monsters is televised live and streamed through the internet in over 130 countries. Even though the show is loved the world over, it still ranks as the 2^nd most watched show on the planet."

Combining the simplicity of War, with the exciting elements of a dice game, MvM allows players to play an addicting game where loss can be defeated with a lucky dice roll. Each deck was designed to be a 1-2 player experience.

The combatants that participate in the MvM program come from all different parts of the world, and each monster has his or her own story to tell about how they came to be, and why they are fighting against each other.

Name: BJ

Monster Type: Bigfoot

Back Story: BJ was the first of the Monsters to be genetically created for the MvM program. He and his twin sister Betty were separated from each other at an early age, and moved to different training facilities around the world. BJ was released in the mountain ranges of the Pacific Northwest when he was 3 years old. In the years spent alone in the forest, he developed a keen sense of hunting, and an ability to use all of the wilderness to his advantage during a fight.

Name: Chupa Libre

Monster Type: Chupacabre

Back Story: Raised in the border towns of Mexico, Chupa spent the first years of a farm. His primary focus in training was to increase his running speed to be able to take down large prey. When he was young, he discovered the art of Luchadors, and has always dreamt of stepping into the ring and putting his skills to the test. When he steps into the MvM ring, he is very fast and very deadly.

Name: Nessie

Monster Type: Loch Ness Monster

Back Story: Swimming through the cold and murky waters of Loch Ness, Scotland. Nessie is highly adapted in the ways of avoiding her enemy and striking when their back is turned. Using her massive tail, she is able to splash down and send a devastating tidal wave after her opponent.

Name: Vinny

Monster Type: Vampire

Back Story: Vinny was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Before being turned into a Vampire at the age of 22, he was a private in the U.S. Army. Vinny volunteered for the MvM program instead of leaving the military after 4 years. Once the transformation was complete, he trained excessively in the ways of over powering an opponent, and sucking their blood.

Name: Wolfy

Monster Type: Werewolf

Back Story: Having once been a teenager in the hills of Ireland, he was bitten by the first Werewolf created by the MvM scientists. The effects took an odd toll on him, and he became a permanent Werewolf. He gave himself the nickname Wolfy (after the family dog), and began to train for the program. His strengths include being able to evade hunters, and a fierce scratching ability that incapacitates most opponents.

Name: Frank

Monster Type: Frankenstein

Back Story: Frank was created when a MvM scientist decided to defy the company and create his own genetic experiments. His body came from a deceased amateur wrestler, and his brain is from a Harvard graduate who died in a car crash. When Frank was discovered, he was initiated into the program immediately. His IQ is off the chart and his strength allows him to wield heavy objects and take massive amounts of damage in combat.

Name: Price Kututu

Monster Type: Mummy

Back Story: Having been alive before the Romans invaded Egypt, Kututu was an who had his eyes set on World Domination. He used his charisma and influence to trick enemies and assimilate them into his army. One night he was betrayed by his advisors and mummified to end his reign of terror. MvM was able to bring his back from the dead and use him in the program. While he is slow moving, his ability to hurl bandages through the air and subdue his enemies with expert accuracy makes him a valued member of the MvM lineup.

Name: Betty

Monster Type: Yeti

Back Story: After being separated from her brother, BJ, Betty went to Mt. Everest and the Himalayas to train in the low-oxygen environment and sub-zero temperatures. Her strengths lay in her abilities to scale the mountains quickly, and create snow flurries to distract her opponents. She doesn’t believe in the MvM program, but participates to be closer to her brother.

Name: NED

Monster Type: Zombie

Back Story: Deep within the swamps of the Bayou, a Voodoo Priestess named Madame Pierre raised the body of a criminal name Dennis Swayback. After the ceremony, Dennis escaped and was captured by an MvM scientist who was searching for Madame Pierre and her creations. The name NED comes from his official classification of Non-Educational, meaning that he is incapable of being taught how to operate in the real world. Instead of being destroyed, he was reclassified as an MvM combatant.

Name: Bones

Monster Type: Skeleton

Back Story: Bones was created by Madame Pierre before NED was. Once he was brought to MvM headquarters he was assimilated into the lineup. While his body has no flesh, his bones contain a telekinetic link to one another. If an arm is removed, it will automatically reattach itself to his body.
